Description: 
This comprehensive book applies International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List Categories and Criteria at the national level to assess the extinction risk for each of Australia’s 328 sharks, rays and chimaeras. The assessments reveal that sharks and their relatives are faring better in Australia than in the rest of the world, with a relatively low level of threatened species.
