Description: 
The short-nosed sea snake was classified as Critically Endangered based on their deciles within a very small range around Ashmore reef. Since their classification, new populations have been discovered within Exmouth Gulf, WA. These species are encountered frequently in the trawl fishery within Exmouth Gulf and more information is required to accurately understand their status.
